On Saturday, March 14, 2026, the Wellington Branch Library hosted Professor Tulasi Acharya for an engaging author talk on his latest work, Like Water on Leaves of Taro: A Himalayan Memoir.
Professor Acharya captivated an audience of around twenty distinguished guests from Fort Myers to West Palm Beach, sharing insights from his memoir and delving into the themes of life, love, birth, death, and the enduring bonds of family. Following a reading from the book, he answered audience questions in a lively discussion that highlighted both the personal and communal dimensions of mourning, as explored in his work.
The event, organized by Srijana Nepal, Member Services Manager at the Wellington Branch Library, is part of the library’s ongoing initiative to introduce Nepali authors to the Palm Beach County community. A book signing and light refreshments followed the discussion, offering guests an opportunity to connect personally with the author.
This memorable session reaffirmed the power of literature to bridge cultures and generations, leaving attendees with a deeper appreciation for Nepali heritage and the art of memoir writing.
