A prize of one thousand dollars — the INLS Homanath Subedi Diaspora Literary Award — has been awarded to Dr. Tulasi Acharya’s novel Swapnabhumi (Dreamland).

This novel Swapnabhumi (also available in English as Running from the Dreamland on Amazon) tells the story of a character named Dipak, who comes to the United States from Nepal as an international student and discovers the true meaning of “dreamland” after facing many trials and tribulations. What, then, is the dreamland? The novel reveals the answer.

On the occasion of the 117th birth anniversary of the great poet Laxmi Prasad Devkota, INLS presented the pre-announced awards in 11 categories at a ceremony held on Saturday in Manassas, Virginia.
